PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES
COLLABORATION IS THE KEY
DART's biggest annual training is "Collaboration Is the Key." "Collaboration Is the Key," begun in August of 2000, is an umbrella event which includes intensive training on domestic violence. The goal of this training is enhanced sensitivity and responsiveness to domestic violence victims. The primary target group of this trainings is always law enforcement--city police, sheriffs' departments, district attorneys' offices, judges, and hearing officers. We also simultaneously target other groups who routinely work with survivors. A major event, attendance at "Collaboration" ranges between 100-125 participants each year, with approximately 50% of the participants coming from law enforcement. Collaboration Is the Key" training is offered each year during the month of August.
